Last night was The Emmy Awards, one of television's biggest nights. While some stars dazzled in their designer duds, others disappointed us and had us gasping for all the wrong reasons. The following are my picks for top 3 best dressed and top 3 worst dress ladies of Emmy's Eve. I'll start with my three worst dressed gals.

My first pic (#3) for worst dressed female of the night was Ginnifer Goodwin in this dress from from Monique Lhuillier. While some critics loved this get up, I thought that it was way too busy. The way that the orange, salmon, pinkish color of the dress was done in such a twisting and turning way, it looked like the dress was supposed to be white until she got into an altercation with a pumpkin on its period. You can't see it in the picture, but it also had a train on it that was not a pretty sight. It wasn't the worst of the night, but it sure as heck proved that Goodwin has a way to go before she becomes the fashion maven of the red carpet.

My number 2 pic for worst dress female of the night was "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland. In this Carolina Herrera green and black number, Hyland looked as if the main character in "Fifty Shades of Grey" had asked a friend to design her an outfit for a Christmas party. While some reports say she stunned in this number, I must disagree.

Are you a curvy girl who wants to look great and feel good about what you're wearing? Well, don't take any advice from "Girls" star Lena Dunham who hid all of her curves in a flower tent last nigth. This would have been her perfect opportunity to show off what the good Lord gave her, but instead she decided to do a P.S.A. for a gardening club. It looked truly ridiculous, and that is why, she is my number one worst dressed of the 2013 Emmy Awards......now time for my three best dressed.

While Lena Dunham not showing off her curves earned her my worst dressed of the year, Sofia Vergara of "Modern Family" is my number three pick for best dressed for showing off the her curvy frame. The Latina superstar proved that she is fashionable in funny with her red dress and funny banter with Jimmy Kimmel while handing out the award for best actor in a comedy series.

Continuing with the trend of fashionable funny ladies, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is my second best dressed in this Monique Lhuillier dressed. I loved how it was both simple and bold in one, and it really stood out compared to some of the bolder colors of the evening.

And my number one best dressed lady of the 2013 Emmy Awards is Zooey Deschanel in this blue dress from designer J. Mendel. It was everyone could have asked for in a dress: high fashion without being over the top, youthful without being too youthful, and all around plane gorgeous. That's why she has my vote for best dressed of the 2013 Emmy Awards....now the best and worst dress guy of the night.

My best dressed guy of the night was John Hamm. While sporting his new beard, he wowed in a bold white jacket and shirt offset by black pants and a black bow tie. It was a bold move indeed, and it paid off as he wins my vote for best dressed guy.

And I hate to say it, but Neil Patrick Harris was my worst dressed of the night. I'm sorry, but he just seems to recycle suits, and he very rarely gives us variety in his red carpet attire. He needs to mix it up a bit, but he's my worst dressed male of the 2013 Emmy Awards until then.
