It's the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and that means ya'll are probably out at your local grocery store picking up your turkey, baking items, and all the other stuff you'll need for a perfect Thanksgiving dinner. I have compiled a list of five things that you can do to make sure that your Thanksgiving shopping trip is a stress free success.

2.) Bring a stress ball. Instead of telling that slow customer in front of you where you think she should shove her turkey, just bring a stress ball along to get out the frustrations you are feeling while putting up with the Thanksgiving crowds. You may look a little crazy, but that's better than facing assault charges, right?
3.) Get a turkey with a timer in it. A caterer friend of mine was giving me tips on how to make the perfect turkey, and she was saying a lot of people feel like they are not cooking if they buy a turkey with a timer in it so you know when it's done. I say, I'd rather cheat a little and serve a good turkey than not cheat and and serve burnt or uncooked turkey to my guests.
4.) Make a list. There's nothing worse than getting home and realizing you have to go back again because you forgot something. Making a list is a surefire way to avoid this issue.
5.) Last but not least, treat the cashiers and other grocery store workers with respect. If you think you are having a stressful day, I guarantee you that they are having a heck of a lot more stressful day than you. Taking care of that many stressed out people is not easy, and they are probably getting paid little to do it.
By following these simple rules, I guarantee you that you're Thanksgiving shopping trip will be stress free.
