If you don't know who Ina Garten is, you are missing out.The Food Network host, best-selling cookbook author, and all around domestic diva not only dishes up delicious recipes and party tips, but she has been outspoken for equal rights for gays and lesbians. Not surprisingly, she has amassed a gay following in her journey to bring delicious food and great ideas to America. Here are five reasons to love her.

1.) She doesn't only know how to make delicious cookies. She is one smart cookie. Before becoming a chef, Garten worked at The White House on nuclear energy policy. Now tell me another Food Network start who did that?

2.) Her relationship with her husband Jeffrey is adorable! The two have been together since college. She made his brownies to vie for his affections. Things haven't changed much since then as they seem even more in love than those kids you see,  blinded by love, sharing ice cream at your local college campus. They're cute I tell, you! Cute!

3.) Her food is for everybody. From time to time, you'll watch the show and think things like, "Truffle butter again? Where do I get that?" Yet, she recently came out with a great solution for you if you have those thoughts. She has recently launched a line of frozen meals for people who don't have the time to cook. They are delicious and affordable, and they are perfect for you if you don't have the time to cook.

4.) She features many GLBT men and women on her show. From throwing them housewarming parties to inviting them over to help her cook, she is not afraid to show her love for gay friends on her programming.

5.) Lastly, she's just so darn likable. Whether she is making double chocolate brownies or having a picnic on the beach with her husband, Ina Garten just draws you in with her down to earth charm, warm personality, and soothing voice.

So there you have it folks. There are five reasons to love Ina Garten. You can buy her meals at your local grocery store and watch her show on The Food Network.  After all, we should support those who support our community, and she has truly been a champion for our equality.
