David Letterman shocked fans last week when he announced he would be leaving "The Late Show" next year, and many wondered who would be his replacement. Would it be a fresh face or somebody who has secured a place in the late night game? When would the replacement be announced? Well, CBS released a statement today letting everyone know that Stephen Colbert will be taking over the chair that Letterman has held for so many years. "The Colbert Report" host will apparently show his true colors upon taking the late night gig, as he will not be playing a character or talking about politics as much. Meanwhile, Comedy Central has not announced what will happen to "The Colbert Report" when Colbert takes his place at the CBS table. What do you think? Will Colbert be a good replacement for Letterman? If not, who would you like to see take Letterman's place?
